🌠It's time for some Pirate Pride! 🌠
Ventura College is one of 150 institutions in the US eligible to compete for the $1 million Aspen Prize for Community College Excellence. Only 15% of the approximately 1,000 community colleges the Aspen Institute evaluates are selected to contend for this award which recognizes colleges like ours that are committed to equitable student success.
The award was likened to the Oscars by President Obama. So come on, Pirates, let's go win an Oscar. Congratulations to our sister colleges, Moorpark and Oxnard who also qualified. We couldn't ask for better competition!
