Fun Fact: Englishman William Willet launched the first campaign to implement daylight saving time. According to History.com, he thought clocks should be moved forward between April and October by 80 minutes so people could enjoy more sunlight. He spent years and his personal fortune to lobby for the change, even writing the brochure "The Waste of Daylight" in 1907. Willet passed away before it was implemented in the UK in 1916.
So when you are moving the time on your clocks ahead by one hour on Sunday, March 14, think of Willet and his passion for sunlight. 😄
