Register for Chicana Contemporary Issues (AES V03 #31933 and CHST V03 #31915), a fully online 12-week class that starts February 8. Examine historical events that have shaped the current social, political, cultural and economic experiences of women of Latin American origin in the United States, with particular emphasis on the experiences of Mexican-origin women. Explore gender, sexuality, patriarchy, and spirituality through readings, poetry, Chicana popular culture, and film. This class meets the ethnic studies requirement that will be required for CSU transfer starting next year.
