AVOID MULTI-TASKING
The flexibility in your online class schedule may tempt you to do many things at once. Instead, try to stick to one thing at a time!
• Research shows that focusing on one thing is more successful than multi-tasking.
• Use your schedule to dedicate specific times to for specific tasks. Tackle things one at a time.
• Focusing on one thing at a time allows you more opportunity to focus on details and less opportunity to make careless mistakes.
• Sticking to one project at a time is actually more time effective. When switching back and forth between projects, your brain has to reset to the project at hand each time.
• Try the Pomodoro Method: Set a timer to work for 25 or 50 minutes and reward yourself with a 10-minute break.
Have a great summer Pirates!
