When citing sources, make sure to P.A.U.S.E. and evaluate those sources. Follow these great tips from the Ventura College Library.
P = Purpose: What is the purpose? Is it purely informative? Is there Bias?
A = Author: Who is the author? Are they an authority on the topic? What is their expertise?
U = Unbiased: Is the information unbiased? Is there an emotional angle? Is persuasive language being used?
S = Source: What sources are given? Can you verify the sources? What makes the source credible?
E = Evidence: What evidence is provided? Is this from a reliable source? Can the facts be corroborated?
