The Applied Sciences Learning Lab

The Applied Science Learning Lab (located in ASC-120) is a hands-on learning space that supports Ventura College’s non-credit Workplace Essentials certificate program as well as our credit programs across the campus.

Under the supervision of Applied Science faculty and staff students will gain hands on experience in several areas including Principles of Technology – a survey of applied mechanical, electrical, fluid, and thermal technologies, and Tools and Machines – a survey of machines from simple to complex and their applications to manufacturing.

The Ventura College Workplace Essentials Program and the Applied Science Learning Lab will offer students a chance to learn new skills in a hands-on, tuition-free, performance based setting.
